Virtual Trombonist podcast, ep. 2: an interview with John Ohnstad
John Ohnstad is a Portland, Oregon based businessman, bass trombonist, and cyclist. I originally met John as a summer long performer at Disney World where we played together in the All-American College Orchestra. John has made a career for himself in Portland, and he has done so while dividing his time between his business and musical careers. John is one of the only people I know who spent any significant time studying with the late George Roberts. John can regularly be found performing with the Rose City Trombones, the Portland-Columbia Symphony, the Art Abrams Swing Machine Big Band, and the Big Horn Brass. John is also an avid cyclist and cycling instructor in Portland.
